Land Stewardship
The pocosin is more than a hunting ground. Members share a duty to care for habitat, water, and timber so the land stays wild and productive for seasons ahead.

Land · Wildlife · Brotherhood
A private hunting club rooted in Belhaven, North Carolina's pocosin country, among blackwater wetlands and timber. We gather for the hunt, the land, and the lasting bonds built around both.
About the Club
Wiser Pocosin Hunt Club is a traditional private club in Belhaven, North Carolina, built around land, wildlife, and the fellowship of the hunt. We value quiet woods, honest work on the property, and members who leave both better than they found them.

Pocosin country is a landscape of still water, thick timber, and hard-earned trails. It rewards patience, local knowledge, and a willingness to work the land between seasons, not only when game is moving.
Our history is the history of members who showed up: clearing food plots, maintaining access, watching wildlife patterns, and teaching the next hunter how things are done here. That quiet continuity is the spine of the club.
Philosophy is simple. Hunt with integrity. Care for habitat. Treat fellow members as brothers in the field. Leave the camp and the country ready for whoever comes after you.
North Carolina wetland country
The pocosin is more than a hunting ground. Members share a duty to care for habitat, water, and timber so the land stays wild and productive for seasons ahead.
Our grounds take their character from Carolina blackwater wetlands, dense timber, and open marsh edges that support a full range of native game.
Camp talk, shared work days, and long hours in the stand forge friendships that outlast any single season. Membership is a place among people who take the craft seriously.
Safety, fair chase, and compliance with wildlife regulations are non-negotiable. Club rules exist to protect members, neighbors, and the resource itself.
The Hunt
Deer, bear, waterfowl, turkey, and other seasonal game define the year. Exact openings, methods, and bag limits follow state wildlife regulations and club policy. Members receive current guidance before each season.

Whitetail hunting anchors the season. Members work timber edges, travel corridors, and managed openings shaped for deer movement through the pocosin country.

Black bear country demands patience and respect. Dense cover and thick understory define the pursuit, always within applicable seasons and club guidelines.

Blackwater and marsh edges bring ducks and other waterfowl when conditions align. Early mornings on the water are part of the club’s rhythm.

Spring turkey and other lawful seasonal opportunities round out the year, subject to regulations and what the property and conditions support.
Hunting rules, stand assignments, guest policies, and seasonal details are shared with members and serious inquiries. Always hunt lawfully, safely, and in keeping with club standards.
The Property
The club’s grounds are a working landscape: marsh edges, timber, food plots, and quiet corners set aside for wildlife. What you see is the product of steady care, not a showpiece left alone.

Blackwater & Timber
Remote wetland country where water, moss, and thick cover shape every hunt.

Food Plots

Stands & Blinds
Blackwater, moss-draped timber, and thick wetland cover give the property its character and support a diverse wildlife community.
Managed openings and plantings supplement natural forage and create purposeful travel and feeding areas across the grounds.
Elevated stands and blinds are placed with wind, access, and animal movement in mind, then maintained as part of club work.
Habitat work, access control, and careful pressure on the land help keep the property healthy for game and for future seasons.
